For our CCTV systems with on-site Network Video Recorders (NVRs), the NVR will automatically overwrite the oldest existing footage with new recordings once the hard drive is full to ensure continuous video recording. You can also add an additional hard drive if you want to keep the footage for an extended period of time. For our Alarm.com cloud storage, which saves event-based clips, if your monthly clip upload limit is reached, new event recording rules will typically be paused for the remainder of that billing month; existing clips remain subject to their normal retention period of 30+ days.
