We're Canadian. We're Smart Security.
Having operating fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide detectors in your home can help save your life. Having our monitoring system can help save your home.
Canadian Security Professionals and home security alarm systems help protect your family and your home from smoke, fire, and invisible carbon monoxide. Help protect your loved ones with our detectors.
In 37% of the homes where fire and death occur, the smoke alarm was inoperable due to the battery. With a monitored smoke detector you can ensure that your smoke detector is always working and if fire is detected, a fire and rescue crew will be dispatched to your home within minutes – whether you’re there or not. If the smoke detector has a low battery you can get a notification to your phone using your MyCSP app powered by Alarm.com and through your security system keypad. If it is not changed you will get reminders from our monitoring stations and technical support teams. The importance of having a working smoke detector at all times can mean the difference between life or death in a real emergency. Most of our smoke detectors are also heat detectors which can also detect excessive heat and rapid rise in temperatures even if there is little to no smoke. Let us help protect your family and your home 24/7.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning causes over 300 deaths annually in Canada and hospitalizes many others. Carbon Monoxide is a a deadly gas that is colourless, odourless, tasteless, and it is undetectable by humans the only way to detect the presence of Carbon Monoxide is using a CO detector. Victims of CO can become disoriented and it is most dangerous to those who are asleep and fail to realize they are at risk. With a monitored Carbon Monoxide Detector you will be contacted immediately by our 24/7 monitoring stations and emergency help will be sent if required.
We provide our services across Ontario and British Columbia, Canada, including but not limited to Toronto, London, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Milton, Kitchener, and Cambridge, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Langley, Abbotsford, Surrey, Chilliwack, and Mission areas.
Do carbon monoxide detectors give false alarms?
No, we do not generally have issues with carbon monoxide detectors giving false alarms.
What do I do if my carbon monoxide detector goes off?
We recommend leaving the home immediately & calling the fire department if the monitoring station hasn't dispatched them already.
What happens if my security system is not armed?
If you do not have the alarm system armed then you will not receive any response from the monitoring station should a door be opened, motion-activated etc. However, the smoke and carbon detectors are always on and monitored whether the system is armed or not.
What happens if the fire alarm activates (and there’s no fire/emergency)?
There are batteries in all the sensors that our systems come with. Most sensors use lithium batteries and they last an average of 5 to 10 years depending on the sensor and how often it is used. For example, if you use your front door the most than the sensor on that door will likely need to be replaced before any of your other sensors. If there is a low battery on a sensor you can replace it yourself or give us a call and we will schedule a service to come to help you with it.
