2GIG Wireless Door / Window Sensor
Use door/window sensors to watch over anything you have that opens and closes, such as doors, windows, cabinets, jewelry cases, and gun cabinets. The sensor automatically senses intrusion with a magnet and reed-switch mechanism that transmits a signal to an alarm in the event of an unauthorized entry.
2GIG Wireless Motion Detector
The Motion Detector is a wall-mounted unit with wide-angle motion protection (110˚ spread). When set to High (HI) Sensitivity Mode, the Motion Detector has a maximum range of 30 ft deep x 50 ft wide (9.1 m x 15.2 m). The Motion’s pet-immune feature can be set to tolerate animals up 55 lbs.
2GIG Wireless Glass Break Detector
The Glass Break Detector can be ceiling- or wall-mounted. The detector monitors for the sound of breaking glass and can provide a 15 ft (4.6 m) maximum detection range, 360° maximum horizontal sensing angle, and dual-stage glass break detection.
2GIG Wireless Smoke/Heat/Temperature Detector
2GIG’s Wireless Smoke/Heat/Freeze Alarm is is designed to recognize smoke from common synthetic materials and decrease false alarms from everyday cooking using advanced detection algorithms and a photo-electric optical sensor. The detector sounds an alarm when smoke, excessive heat or extreme low temperature is detected and reports to CSP’s monitoring stations.
2GIG Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector
A Carbon Monoxide detector provides early warning of dangerous carbon monoxide gas levels. The Carbon Monoxide Detector has a built-in 85 decibel sounder and a hush/test button.
Garage Door Tilt Sensor
The Wireless Garage Door Tilt Sensor protects your overhead garage door from burglary and intrusion. The Garage Door Tilt Sensor will send an open and close signal to the panel each time the garage door is opened or closed. When the alarm panel is armed, if the garage door opens to a forty-five degree angle, the sensor sets off the alarm and notifies the monitoring station. The Garage Door Tilt Sensor also features a slow loop response which eliminates false alarms triggered by garage door movement due to wind.
2GIG Wireless Secondary Keypad
This wall mounted keypad offers you full wireless control over the GC2e Security System. The interface has been designed to be easy to use and can arm the system in STAY or AWAY mode as well as disarm the system. The keypad also has two panic buttons for fire and police assistance at the touch of a button.
2GIG Touch Screen Secondary Keypad
This touch screen keypad is a great secondary keypad option that can be wall mounted near another highly used door or the master bedroom. There is a full colour screen and built-in speaker that allows you to see and hear system statuses, chimes, and alerts. The keypad offers you full wireless control over the GC2e Security System using many of the same keypad functions as the main keypad. It also gives the ability to control your connected automation devices like locks, thermostats, lights, etc. The keypad can be used to arm the system in STAY or AWAY mode as well as disarm the system.
2GIG Keyfob
The 2GIG 4‐Button Keyfob Remote communicates with the 2GIG Control Panel on the 345 MHz frequency. It gives users the ability to turn the security system ON and OFF before entering the home or after exiting. If there is an emergency, you can turn on the siren and automatically call the central monitoring station. Can arm the system in STAY or AWAY mode as well as disarm the system
2GIG Wireless Flood/Temperature Sensor
The Flood/Temperature Sensor is a sensor that lets you know if water is detected or if the temperature in your home drops below a set point. The sensor is small and it can easily be placed in a basement, bathroom, laundry room, or near a hot water tank as some examples making it ideal for higher risk areas. The flood sensor spares you the headaches of water leaks or floods that go undetected for hours and even days. The sensor sounds an environmental alarm when it detects water within 2 seconds. The freeze sensor reduces the possibility of pipes freezing by transmitting an alarm notification if the temperature in the surrounding area drops below 5 degrees Celsius. Undetected furnace failure can lead to frozen and burst pipes, and serious expense. The freeze sensor safeguards against extensive damage due to undetected freezing.
2GIG Wireless Water Leak Detector
The Water Leak Detector provides timely notification before costly water damage and flooding happens. Water damage and flooding is the #1 residential insurance claim. This sensor is the first in the industry to provide dual source protection against water leaks. It gives a drip notification when placed under a leaking water source and a notification when pooled water is present.
2GIG Wearable Panic Button
Activate medical or police alarms with a personal wireless panic button. The panic button is recessed to prevent false alarms but when it is activated an alarm signal is transmitted to CSP’s monitoring stations letting us know help is needed. The panic button can be worn around your neck as a pendant or around your wrist. The panic button is durable and water resistant.
2GIG Wearable Fall Detector w/Medical Panic Button
The Fall Detector uses cutting-edge fall detection technology, advanced fall detection algorithms and fall assessment capabilities that are based on real human falls. The Fall Detector also has a medical panic button that can be pressed in case of a medical emergency. The fall detection technology will summon help if a fall is detected even if you can’t press the panic button.
Hardwired or Wireless Translator
Allows us to upgrade your old system to a Smart Security System or a Wireless Alarm System by using most of your existing hardwired or wireless sensors and just have to change out your keypad(s). The translator does not allow us to use any old monitored life safety devices like smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors so new ones would need to be installed. With a translator you can take your old system to the future without the large price tag of having to change all your old equipment.

Will 2GIG Door Sensors work on sliding doors?
Yes, the 2GIG Door Sensors work on sliding doors. One part of the contact goes on the frame & the other on the moving part of the door.
Can I use a 2GIG motion sensor if I have pets?
The 2GIG Motion Sensors have a pet immune feature that gives the option to tolerate animals up to 33lbs or 55lbs. There is also the option to adjust the sensitivity level to reduce or increase the range of the motion sensors.
How can you tell if the carbon monoxide detector is working?
The green LED on the carbon monoxide detector will blink every 12 seconds if the CO detector is working properly. If the LED is flashing yellow, this suggests a trouble condition. Also with an Interactive monitoring plan, you will receive a call and instant notifications on your smartphone advising you if there is an issue with your carbon monoxide or any other sensor connected to your smart home security system.

Horrible experience with this company. It is all about the money. Having to move due to family emergency and they do not service the area we are going so we have to pay out the full 3 years contract! No help whatsoever. Stay away from this company unless you want hassles.

Told them multiple times that we have moved locations and have disconnected the alarm services. My girlfriend is still paying her monthly fees due to the three-year contract. However they want to charge nearly $400 to reinstall at her new condo. These are simple double-sided taped sensors. We can do this ourselves we told CSP. AND CONTINUOUSLY FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS WE KEEP GETTING PHONE CALLS, REGARDING OUR HOME LOCATION THAT WE'VE MOVED FROM. I had to argue with the representative on the phone telling them that we have moved, called before we moved and have told them multiple times as they keep calling us. The person on the phone told us to call back at a different number for their company in order to let them know that we have moved. I don't understand how they have the time to call my girlfriend me and her other emergency contact multiple times for 2 weeks yet can't write down and report that we have moved and disconnected these services until further notice. We are still paying their monthly fee, it seems they are adamant about trying to get us reinstall the security devices. We don't have the money to pay them $400 to tape some sensors on the wall in the windows. It would be nice if they actually paid attention to what their customer says on the phone. Maybe even nicer if they actually helped out a single mother and let her off the hook for the 3-year term. However I understand it's a contract, so we are continuing to pay them their monthly fee. They have rectified the issue and we will be updating the review as soon as everything is completely resolved.

I got a home security system installed by CSP three months ago, and for a service like this, I would normally wait for about a year before doing a review, but based on recent experiences, I am happy to do one now. To start, the customer service is exceptional. Every time I have called, including the first call to get a quote, I have spoken with a person who speaks clear and concise English. Every time I call, I speak with someone who is very knowledgeable about the products and services offered by CSP, and if they aren't, they get me to someone quickly. And I always get a hold of someone quickly! With the last security company I was using, I could wait 20 minutes or more before speaking with someone, and often, the experience was not satisfactory. The last security company was a large, common company, but their service was terrible. And when I did get a hold of someone, they often did not know how to help, so I would get passed from rep to rep, until someone could help. Also, as a side note, I changed security companies when I learned about the major weakness of wi-fi. Most of the big, common companies, that offer home security service use wi-fi, but a criminal only has to cut the cable at the side of the house (and just about everyone has their cable running down the side of their house) and your security system is dead, along with TV, Internet, etc. CSP uses a cell connection. Most of the crooks that will break into your home probably don't have a cell blocker, but they do have common wire snips. It was a real eye opener when I learned the number of years that I was living with nothing but a false sense of security, and just how vulnerable my last security system was. I decided to use CSP because of the helpful answers I received when I first phoned them, and since that time, I continue to be impressed with their tech department, billing inquiries and customer service in general. I highly recommend CSP. They have local offices, you can get a hold of them quickly, you can clearly understand what is being communicated by them and they know how to help!

Review updated after a constructive conversation to address feedback.Had CSP alarm services from Feb 2021 to August 2024.5 stars for ongoing alarm system management, responsiveness and honesty.2 stars for installation from Feb 2021 (due to an installer who is no longer at the company)I've been with CSP Alarms since Feb 2021. The initial sales person (Curtis) I worked with was fantastic and walked me through available plans/options. Absolute top guy!Unfortunately I didn't have the most positive install experience, as the installer (no longer with the company) upsold me a device. However, all other installers and virtual customer support were extremely professional and completed work to a high standard where I didn't feel pressured.The minor issues I had with my installer, my sales rep (Curtis) ironed out the details which restored my faith in CSP's service.During my 3.5yrs with CSP, they were very responsive and professional. For the remainder of my service, I was very happy with the day-to-day service and equipment never failed.Upon the end of my contract (July 2024), I wish I was informed my contract was ending. As I maintained paying my monthly price despite paying off all of my equipment. For info, you need to give 30days notice to cancel your plan.My new sales rep was extremely professional and responsive with questions I had regarding renewing my plan, but unfortunately CSP were too expensive for my budget. However, I would consider going with them again in the future.I really appreciate one of the senior leaders addressing my google review professionally and taking feedback constructively to address with the sales team.

Be careful! We needed to install an alarm system in our office. I asked a few clarifying questions regarding the terms of the contract. Katie Rose Klassoff Account Manager answered my questions via e-mail. When I received the draft contract, I saw that it was not written clearly. I asked her to write in the contract everything she promised me. She refused to do this and wrote that I could use the e-correspondence as proof. However, paragraph 14 of their contract states that a sales representative or consultant has no authority to make any promise and representation outside the contract. Thus, all her letters have no legal significance and cannot be fully trusted. I caught her in a lie. That is, she refused to write in the contract what she wrote in emails. Thus, it does not matter what the representative of this company writes or says to you. His/her words are worth nothing and may contradict what will be written in the contract. At the same time, she refused to inform the owner of the business about the situation so that I could try to resolve the problem with him.

This company made it so easy to make my home more secure. I had a rather urgent request and Katie was able to schedule the instalation rather quickly. Hardeep was the installer and kept communication with us throughout the day to let us know when he would be arriving. I had some connection issues on my side with my WiFi setup (my issue, not theirs) and they very patiently walked me through it on more than one occasion. Install was pretty quick. Less than an hour. Everything works well and the technician explained how to operate the system. The only thing that could improve is that the technician arrived in his personal vehicle with no identifying clothing. This isn’t a big issue, but it would be good to let customers know before hand.

I've had ADT for years for home security but ever since the Telus acquisition, their service hasn't been great and they've made it harder to do simple things. So we decided to switch providers and after doing a lot of research, I went with CSP. So far, they've been great. Their communication is excellent (Katie is my rep), their support staff have been great as well, and they're cheaper than ADT to boot. No complaints, and I won't go back!

I have had the alarm system since 2015 and have to tell you very very happy, the smoke detector is very powerful and sensitive...was making custard pie and the oven smoked, man oh man you would never sleep through it, and the very best part 4 gorgeous firemen showed up at my door another time again baking, didn't answer the call from 🔐 company.....best service no complaints here, moving to gated community no longer need the service. Excellent and friendly customer service right from the quote to instillation. Katie provided us with a quote and was very knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions. She didn't try to upsell and was honest about pricing. Rahab was our installer. He was very polite and took the time to show us how to use the system step by step and answer all of our questions. He provided great suggestions and helped us to customize the system. Very happy with our decision.

I checked out a handful of companies, and CSP was by far the best.The account manager who walked me through my options was knowledgeable and organized. And the installer who came to the house was creative to accommodate existing electrical access and very detailed in setting up the app on my phone and syncing all the components. And their price is on par with the rest of the industry.I would always strongly recommend CSP!

Easy installation and very easy to use. I initially had the system installed in BC, and the transition from Vancouver to Toronto is very smooth. I just had the alarm removed in Vancouver and reinstalled in Toronto. Very efficient service, Tamim was very professional and helpful. He gave me good advice about where to install the panel. 10/10 would recommend CSP to friends 🙂

After switching alarm monitoring from a company in Oakville to CSP it was like comming from darkness into the light. The initial contract went smoothly, without false promises or subtle pressures. Everything was clearly, and patiently explained. After closing the contract, installation occured within days by a a very friendly, and patient technician, who easily responded to our needs.After two weeks we wanted some additional services. A very competent and again patient technician, named John, helped us to add the service at no cost. We are seniors, and need some extra explanations.We regret, not having switched to CSP years ago.

I would like to say Canadian Security Professionals were not my first choice, but after speaking with Chelsee Yates I had to change my mind. She understood all my points and questions and made sure they were answered with the utmost professionalism and care.I had an appointment for today to have my house secured with their system and the installation was nothing short of Flawless! Hardeep Singh arrived right on time, communicated what needs to be done and how long it will take.Hardeep also went one step ahead by calling me after the installation and helping me understand on how to navigate the mobile app.I am very happy with their recommendation and services and would recommend to anyone who is looking to have a hassle free security system installed in their homes.

I had a minor issue with the installation. They immediately called me and did their best to fix the problem. I really appreciate their efforts. This is the difference in customer service of privately owned small/medium businesses vs large enterprises like Telus/ADT, Bell, Rogers. CSP actually tries to solve the problem ASAP as opposed to big companies transferring you to 10 different people and doing nothing.

This is an updated review. It is rare to find a company that is responsive and keeps trying until they get it right. This is that company. We had a really bumpy start. It took three installation attempts to get it right. However, the whole team was involved in driving towards customer satisfaction. Our installation technician, Patrick, and the office team followed up repeatedly. Ultimately, a happy customer, so I am updating this review. The bottom line is that this team is not going to leave you stranded.

I was originally with bell and my wife and I had an horrible experience with there team and technician. We canceled our service and went straight to Canadian security. The reason I chose this company was when I called to inquire about there services and prices Katie was easy to talked to, I told her about our previous experience and assured me that they will do better. With in a couple of days they sent their technician Tamim to setup my alarm from top to bottom, Tamim is very knowledgeable about his profession and very honest about any question I asked. He made me aware of everything that needed to be known and you can tell he just cares about giving you the best experience. Overall I’m happy I made the switch from bell to this company.. night a day difference with the customer service! Need more business like this! Tamim thank you for time work.

Choosing the right alarm company is a daunting task but right from the onset Heather was informative and unbelievably helpful. Heather helped me with my choices, advised and made sure that my alarm needs were met. She was always available , personable and if she said she was sending me something... then she did. All of this made me feel confident in my choice of company and I could quickly see why the reviews were so great. The Alarm specialist arrived on time, did a great job of fitting everything,no ugly wires, everything looks great and works perfectly. He was great as well. A chirpy soul who explained everything. So glad I switched to CSP ! Started with Heather on the phone. She was amazing….walked me through all the options, was patient and did not try to oversell me. Communication was amazing….got an install a couple of days after making the commitment. Set up of the install was easy and seamless. Rabah came on time and was super fantastic ! Nice guy, we went through everything and he is a true security professional. We have a small dog and he helped walk us through where to put the proper motion sensors. He set everything up and then make sure to walk us through all the options, how to use the new system, etc. best experience and so happy we made the move over to them !

What a fantastic company this is. I had a couple of issues with the doorbell camera and these guys were right ON IT. Emily is super fast, super smart and super nice when assisting me. Reminds me of the service that I provide my own customers which is above and beyond!If you're looking to get an alarm installed make sure its with CSP. You won't get this level of service absolutely anywhere else.
